Photographer Justine Leenarts captures exactly that energy in the campaign surrounding this drop. Through her lens, she recreates a 90s feeling belonging to a young athlete with a deep passion for running and track & field. It is a space filled with inspiration, where posters, memories, achievements, and dreams come together to reflect the excitement of being completely immersed in a sport you love.
In 1996, the Karhu Fusion was the pinnacle of our running collection. Bold in design, serious in performance, and unmistakably Finnish. When we brought it back as the Fusion 2.0, we did it the right way: alongside the shoe's original designer, honouring every detail that made the first one matter.
The Fusion 2.0 OG stays true to that legacy. The printed lycra at the ankle and heel collar carries that retro feel in both look and material. The webbing tape on the medial side is shortened just like on the original. The Karhu wordmark sits on the leather panel and reappears in red on the heel tab, exactly as it did in 1996. The colorway? White and ultramarine green, pulled straight from the archives.
For the first time, the Fusion 2.0 OG is accompanied by a capsule collection, consisting of two heavyweight cotton t-shirts, a sweater and socks, all designed to complement the spirit of the original.
