Can I return my order?

Yes, if you choose to return a product from within the US for a refund you will need to contact customer service for a shipping label and you will be refunded the amount you paid for purchase minus restocking fee. Returns may be shipped to us within 30 days of the date marked on the receipt. Find more details about returns on our customer service page here

Legend shoes typically don’t restock except for Synchron Classic OG. Performance shoes will be restocked through their season. Performance styles typically refresh every year.

What shoes are good for running?

We recommend taking a look at the Ikoni, Fusion and Synchron! Each model has a unique ride, fit, and style, so you can choose how you want your next run to feel! Do your shoes help with pronation?

Yes! We have running shoes with increased support to help guide your foot through a more natural gait. Check out the Fusion and Synchron which contain longer variations of our fulcrum piece to help smooth out pronation.  If you are unsure of which shoe you need try visiting a local Fleet Feet using our store locator and get fit in person for the proper shoe! 


How do I find the right size?

When fitting performance shoes we recommend going up half a size in the Ikoni and Ikoni HiVo. The Fusion and Synchron fit true to size with the Synchron being a slimmer fit.


Our performance line is based off of aggregate scan data from our partners, which measured around 2 million people’s feet to give Karhu running shoes an optimal fit. We have introduced a new fit called HiVo, short for High Volume. HiVo is a unique fit that provides more volume through the instep. For more information on HiVo check here:

What is the fulcrum? 

The fulcrum is a midsole technology found primarily in our performance shoes.  It is designed to move you forward efficiently.  Karhu shoes produce less vertical and horizontal oscillation – or “bounce” producing more forward momentum in every stride.   



How do I find the right size?

From our experience with fitting Legends we recommend to go up half a size in the Albatross, Aria and Fusion 2.0. For the Synchron Classic and Trampas order a full size up. The ChampionAir and Legacy are the most true-to-size in our experience.


How should I clean the product?

It is not recommended to use a washing machine to clean shoes.  We recommend using a dry hairbrush or toothbrush to remove debris from the outsole, midsole, and upper.  Mix warm water with a small amount of laundry detergent to make a cleaning solution. Remove laces and insert. Proceed to use a clean cloth with the cleaning solution to clean the laces, insert, and any areas of the shoe that are dirty.  Avoid submerging the shoe or soaking it completely.  Repeat on any area again if necessary.  Remove excessive moisture with a dry cloth or stuff your shoes with newspaper overnight.  Let the laces, insert, and shoe air dry completely before use. 



I’ve never heard of Karhu before. Is it a new brand?

On the contrary, Karhu has been around since 1916 on the feet of some of Finland’s most legendary runners. Karhu shoes have won Olympic medals and Boston Marathons and everything in between. Our fulcrum technology was created in 1987, and since then it has been tested and perfected at both the University of Jyväskylä in Finland and at Iowa State University in the US.


What makes Karhu different from other running shoes?

The Karhu difference is all about the fulcrum technology. Simply put, the fulcrum helps you move forward more efficiently. Independent research shows that runners bounce up and down half an inch less per step in Karhu than in other running shoes. Think of it like climbing stairs: runners climb fewer stories across every distance with the efficiency of Karhu Fulcrum Technology.
