In 1996, the Karhu “Fusion” model was the top running shoe in the collection. To bring it back from the archives, Karhu reworked the model with its original designer launching it as the Fusion 2.0. After a successful 2015 introduction, Karhu felt it was time to honour the Fusion by releasing a version inspired by the shoe’s original details. The Fusion 2.0 “OG” differentiates in look from the existing inline version to deliver an authentic aesthetic.
For the second release of the Track & Field Pack, Karhu uses Track & Field as the thematic backdrop for the two colour ways. The suede heel on the first colour way is reminiscent of a track’s reddish brown rubber, which provides runners with a consistent surface for fast times. The perfectly manicured grass infield where Javelin and Discus throwing take place, inspired the green suede on the front of the shoe.
