HEIKKI MIKKOLA

Heikki Mikkola was the Motocross World Champion 1974, -76, -77, -78. In 1974 he was the first champion in two classes, both 250 cc and 500 cc. In 1979 he quit mostly because of several back injuries. He withdrew from headlights immediately and is nowadays living as a farmer in Loppi. Mikkola´s nickname was "The Iron Man" because he was able to drive even injured due to his amazing trim. Mikkola drove his whole career in Team Karhu and used Supergreens as his training shoes.
