Born on the track in 1916, Karhu has come a long way but still remains true to its roots. Discover the history of Finland's legendary running brand from the early 20th century to today.

Running Form

In Finland, proper running form is generally known as “Rullaava,” which literally means “rolling.” When a runner’s movements are all directed forward the runner achieves greater efficiency.

Stories

They were track and field nomads, living out of an old Airstream and selling Karhu shoes as they made their way up and down the eastern seaboard.
