Karhu Expands Nordic Region and Welcomes New Hire

Beverly, MA (January 12, 2010) – Today, KARHU, Finland’s Legendary Running Brand, announced another addition to its growing team of experts. Goran Bergsten joins the KARHU executive team as General Manager, Nordic Region, bringing more than 25 years of experience in the sports industry to the company. “We are excited to have an industry veteran such as Goran join the KARHU team. His outstanding reputation and track record in the Nordic region make him a key player on our brand’s home turf,” said Huub Valkenburg, CEO, KARHU. “A large presence in KARHU’s home region is vital and we know that Goran can help further grow the Nordic operation.” Goran previously worked with both Reebok and the Adidas group for more than 20 years and most recently served as Sales Director, Sweden for the Adidas Reebok group. As part of the KARHU executive team, Goran will lead sales efforts in the Nordic Region, with offices in Vastervik, Sweden and Helsinki , Finland from where it services the Nordic region of Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. “I am excited to join the team at Karhu, the Karhu brand has a legendary status in the Scandinavian market, and I look forward to re-launch the brand in the region” said Goran Bergsten.
