Finland’s capital city and a love for athletics provide the inspiration for the latest Karhu release, the “Helsinki Run” Pack.
A sightseeing walk, or, even better, a run through the urban center brings you to famous landmarks like the Helsinki Cathedral and the Olympic Stadium.
The ability to live, work and exercise in a social environment is what residents of Helsinki enjoy. The green domed Helsinki Cathedral while a popular tourist attraction is still used for services of worship and special events.
Similarly, across town the Olympic Stadium used for the 1952 Games, still hosts athletic competitions throughout the year. The Museum of Sport, connected to the stadium, has an archive of many Karhu artefacts collected from champions over the years.
The sport inspired “Helsinki Run” Pack consists of two Fusion 2.0s and an Aria. The upper of the Fusion 2.0 feature brighter pigskin suede overlays at the heel and toe cap while the Aria is a solid smoke green pigskin suede.
The two colour ways of the Fusion 2.0 feature a speckled EVA midsole as a special detail. The Aria’s clean lines, colour blocking and monosock construction make it an easy shoe for everyday use. The Karhu “Helsinki Run” Pack will see its global release on Friday, September 15th, 2017.
